Description:

Robert Penn Warren's play, All The King's Men, will be presented at 5 different locations in the first weeks of November. His 1946 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by the same name is one of the undisputed classics of American literature. Fifty years after the novel's publication, Warren's characters still stand as powerful representations of the moral dilemmas faced by individuals in positions of power.

Loosely based on the life of Huey P. Long, the Governor of Louisiana, it is set in the 1930s, yet it could be happening today; it speaks to the tangled politics of the American South, yet it bears echoes of political tragedies from Julius Caesar to Hurricane Katrina and beyond.

Jim Leggett directs this production which features the following performers: Tim Landry, Anthony LeCroix, Phil Tapley, Keith Ulrich, Jerry Havens, Bradley L. Smith, Catherine Eppler, Theresa Louviere, Michael Dalme, Jim Weinzettle, Kerry Lloyd, Wanda Schenk, Jackson Sleet, Kathleen Pharis, Paul Barbee, Stu Riggar, and Belle Rollins.

A Bar B Que Supper will be included with the presentation of the play at the Southern Forest Heritage Museum in Long Leaf, LA - Just outside of Woodworth off of Hwy. 165 South.
