Description:

One more chance to buy your season tickets online. First up in 2012 is the play, entitled Almost, Maine by John Cariani. Directed by Diane Falcon - On a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost's residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend "almost" in this delightful midwinter night's dream. The cast includes Candice Carr, Tillie Falcone, Jeff Goelz, Joshua Goodnight, Dann Eudy, Jr., Melissa Savage, Bob Savage, Jillian Jackson, Carey Thompson, and Jim Weinzettle.

Production dates are February 16 – 26 –Thursday, Friday & Saturday Nights at 7:30 pm and on Sunday Afternoons at 2:30 in the afternoon.

Other productions this year include Twelve Angry Jurors which follows the deliberation of a jury which must consider a case in which a young man is accused of killing his father. First presented in 1957 as 12 Angry Men, the courtroom drama has been adapted to allow for more diverse casting. The production will be presented in May 3 – 13 to bring attention to the American Bar Association’s observance of Law Day. You won’t want to miss this classic drama as it will be presented at the Hearn Stage in Downtown Alexandria.

As summer arrives CPP will bring back the musical tale, Forever Plaid, a story in song about 4 young men whose careers were cut short in a tragic automobile accident. They manage to make a comeback unlike any other on stage July 5 – 15.

In late September, a new play by a pair of young African-American writers, entitled Grandmothers, Incorporated will be presented. Four retired women stumble upon a crime boss and scheme to bring him to justice. September 27 – October 7
